Your chance to submit ideas for the Earthshot prize

The Centre for Global Eco-Innovation (CGE) returns as an official nominator for the prestigious for the second year running.

The Earthshot Prize is described as “the most prestigious global environment prize in history, designed to incentivise change and help repair our planet over the next ten years”. It is run by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and faced by David Attenborough and Prince William. Five, ?1m prizes will be awarded each year until 2030.

CGE is inviting ideas from staff for nominations. Prizes could be awarded to a wide range of individuals, teams or collaborations ¨C scientists, activists, economists, community projects, leaders, governments, banks, businesses, cities, and countries ¨C anyone whose workable solutions make a substantial contribution to achieving the Earthshot’s five aims:

  1. Protect and restore nature
  2. Clean our air
  3. Revive our oceans
  4. Build a waste-free world
  5. Fix our climate
